What is Arbor Investment Advisors?
Arbor is a Registered Investment Advisor located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. We assist clients in establishing, implementing and managing customized investment plans.

Who are the principals?
Jim Martin, Scott Cawood, Scott Jones and Bill Hollan, III, are the primary advisors. John Mickey is a solicitor of Arbor.

What is Arbor's investment approach?
We strongly believe that the key investor decisions revolve around clearly defined goals, designing and implementing an investment plan based on those goals, and maintaining a disciplined approach. We are not in the business of selling products nor do we depend on transaction commissions to be compensated. As an asset-based-fee advisor, our goals are consistent with those of the investor to grow the portfolio.

What investments are utilized in client portfolios?
We implement client portfolio primarily with exchange traded funds, mutual funds and some individual securities.

What size accounts do you manage and what are your fees?
The minimum relationship is $1 million. Fees are asset based, starting at 1% per year on the first $1 million and scale down.

Do you expect to manage a client's total portfolio?
Most clients appreciate our comprehensive approach and retain us to manage all their investments.

However, when there are satisfactory relationships and investments in place, we are pleased to accept narrow assignments. These may include a portion of a total portfolio, a pool of assets with a specific objective or, when particular asset classes are not represented in the holdings, we can establish an account to complement an existing portfolio with select asset classes (e.g. International Equities, Small Cap Equities, Real Estate).

We can also arrange custody and provide reports on accounts we don't manage, but at significantly reduced fees.

Do you custody the assets?
Arbor is a non-custodial investment advisor. Most of our assets are held in a Fidelity Institutional account.
