At Arbor Investment Advisors, we are pleased to announce that Houston Hough has joined our firm on March 2, 2026, as an Investment Associate. Houston will support our team of advisors and operations experts in helping clients achieve their financial goals.
Prior to Arbor, Houston excelled as a commercial real estate broker in Winston-Salem. While he proved to be highly skilled in evaluating assets and managing complex transactions, Houston believes his strongest asset is his commitment to building long-term client relationships — a quality that captured the attention of Scott Cawood, Principal, CEO and CIO of Arbor.
“Houston’s analytical background and intelligence are tremendous assets,” explains Cawood. “However, the genuine way he develops client relationships perfectly aligns with the Arbor culture and how we believe every client should be treated. We are thrilled to have him on board.”

Prior to earning his commercial real estate license, Houston graduated from Sewanee: The University of the South in 2018 with a B.A. in Forestry and Natural Resource Management.
Born and raised in Winston-Salem, Houston enjoys fishing and golf. He is active in the community and recently mentored student-athletes while serving as an assistant coach for the R.J. Reynolds High School lacrosse team from 2019 through 2024.
